Gutter Installation and Repair in Bethany

We install new gutters and fix the ones that sag, drip or overflow, so rain leaves your roof and drains well clear of your home. Every job starts with secure ladders, a cleared work area and a crew that stays off the roof edge in bad weather.

Gutters that put water where it belongs

Gutters have one job: catch the water running off your roof and send it down and away from your home. When they pull loose, leak at the seams or spill over, that water soaks the fascia boards, splashes up onto siding and pools beside the foundation. We install complete gutter systems and repair existing ones, and we check the roof edge while we are up there, because the gutters and the eave work as a pair.

Safety shapes how we run every gutter job. Ladders go on firm, level footing and get secured at the top, stabilizers keep them off the gutter itself, and nobody works the roof edge in wind or rain. Down below, we mark off the area so kids, pets and cars stay clear of anything that could drop. Gutter work looks simple from the ground, which is exactly why so many people get hurt doing it themselves.

Sizing and pitch matter more than most people expect. Spring thunderstorms around Bethany can drop a lot of rain fast, and a gutter that is too small or sloped the wrong way simply overflows when you need it most.

What our gutter work covers

  1. 01

    New one-piece gutter installation

We measure each run of your home and install aluminum gutters formed in continuous lengths, with joints only at the corners. Fewer joints leave fewer spots to leak. Hangers go in close together and fasten into solid wood so the gutter holds through heavy rain and winter ice.

  2. 02

    Repairs and resealing

Not every problem calls for new gutters. We reseal leaky joints and end caps, replace loose or bent hangers, and re-pitch sagging sections so water heads to the downspout instead of standing in the trough.

  3. 03

    Downspouts and drainage

We put downspouts where they can keep up with the water and add extensions or splash blocks that move it several feet off the foundation. We also make sure the outflow does not land on a walkway or a neighbor's yard.

  4. 04

    Fascia and roof-edge check

Since gutters hang on the fascia, we check the wood behind them before anything goes up. Soft or rotted boards are pointed out with photos, and we look at the drip edge and eave shingles so water drops into the gutter, not behind it.

  5. 05

    Gutter guards, honestly explained

If leaves and seed pods pack your gutters every fall, we can go over guard options. We will tell you what they handle well and what they still need from you.

  6. 06

    Cleanup before we leave

Old gutters, scraps and fasteners get hauled off. We run a magnet over the beds, lawn and driveway so no screws end up in a tire or a bare foot.

Signs your gutters need attention

  • Rain spilling over the outer edge

When water pours over the lip instead of into the trough, the cause is a clog, a gutter that is too small or a bad slope. We sort out which one before suggesting a fix.

  • Dips and gaps along the run

A low spot in the middle or a gap between gutter and fascia points to hangers that have loosened or failed. Ignored, the section can rip loose and take trim down with it.

  • Stains, peeling paint or soft trim

Dark streaks on the fascia or flaking paint near the eave usually mean water is slipping behind the gutter. Over time that rots the boards underneath.

  • Washed-out soil below the roofline

A groove in the mulch, bare patches in the grass or mud splashed on the siding shows where water is overflowing or a downspout is missing.

  • Dripping joints and rust spots

Older sectional gutters start leaking at the joints as the sealant ages, and steel gutters rust through from the inside out.

How a gutter job runs

  1. 1

    A quick conversation by phone

Let us know what is going on with your gutters, and we will pick a day to come out and look. A photo of the problem spot during the next rain can help a lot.

  2. 2

    Walk-around and written estimate

We measure the runs, check the fascia and roof edge, and photograph anything that needs attention. You get a written estimate with each item broken out, along with our honest take on whether a repair is enough.

  3. 3

Setting up a safe work area

On install day we park out of your driveway's way, rope off the zone under the work, and secure ladders before anyone goes up. Old gutters are lowered in controlled sections, never tossed down.

  4. 4

    Install, water test and cleanup

With the new gutters and downspouts in place, we run water through them to prove the pitch and check every joint. Then we tidy up, sweep for fasteners and walk the finished work with you.

What affects the cost of gutters

Most of the price comes from your home's size and shape, plus whatever turns up once the old gutters come off. Every part of the job is listed on a written estimate, so you can see what each piece costs. If we find rotted wood behind the old gutters, we show it to you before doing any added work.

Length and height of the runs
Total linear feet sets the starting point. A two-story home or a sloped lot calls for more ladder setup and safety gear, and that takes extra time.
Gutter size and material
Six-inch gutters carry more water off big or steep roofs, but they use more material than the common five-inch size.
Downspouts and corners
Every downspout, extension and mitered corner adds parts and labor. A home with lots of rooflines simply needs more of them.
What the fascia looks like
Gutters can only be as solid as the boards they fasten to. Soft or rotted fascia gets swapped out first, and we list it as its own line so it is never a surprise on the bill.
Guards and extras
Guards raise the upfront cost. We will help you weigh whether they are worth it given the trees around your home.

Answers to common gutter questions

My roof is due for replacement too. Which comes first, the roof or the gutters?

If both need replacing, we usually hang the new gutters at the same time as the roof or right after it. A new roof often gets new drip edge, and fitting the gutters to it in one go gives you a tighter seal along the eave. Our Roof Replacement page covers how we schedule the two.

How do I know if my gutters can be fixed instead of replaced?

A lot of gutters only need new hangers, resealed joints or a corrected slope. If they are rusted through, badly bent or dripping at seam after seam, new gutters are the smarter spend. We show you photos and tell you which way we would go and the reason behind it.

What size gutters does my home need, five-inch or six-inch?

Five-inch gutters handle the runoff on many homes just fine. Six-inch gutters make more sense for big roof areas, steep slopes or valleys that funnel heavy water toward one corner. We look over your roof before we recommend a size.

If I put on gutter guards, will I ever have to clean the gutters?

Some upkeep stays with any guard. A well-made guard keeps most clogs out, but fine grit and seed pods can still settle on top and need a brush-off from time to time. We will be straight with you about how much care to expect.

Will insurance pay for gutters dented by hail?

Gutters often get included in a claim when the same storm damaged the roof. We can photograph the dents and anything else we find and explain how claims typically move along, but your adjuster makes the coverage decision. Our Storm Damage Repair page has more on that process.
